Seems like Kollywood is digging deep to find untapped movies of Tollywood. Right now Vishal is doing Souryam remake in Tamil under Prabhudeva’s direction. The latest news is that another Gopichand movie Andhrudu too is being remade in Tamil.
Mahesh of Angadi Theru fame is playing the lead role in it. Being very young and slim, Mahesh has to put on seven kilos to suit the role it seems. Sampurna is directing this Tamil flick and Anusha plays the female lead.
Andhrudu did average business in Telugu. Paruchuri Murali directed it which marked the debut of Gowri Pandit. Shayaji Shinde’s role was the highlight in it. Let’s see how Andhrudu fares in Tamilnadu.
